Boat with No Name

Boats hold a special place for many of us. They're either sitting, waiting to launch or they’re in action. They're our lifeline when we separate ourselves from the security of the land we leave behind. They are the venture in our adventuring, the trusted carrier that satisfies our wonder of the sea's horizon beyond. But, as in this painting, when boats are home in the safety of port, they seem to lull us when they’re resting. Gently swaying back and forth in a dreamy sort of way while cradled in the arms of mother sea, they calm our soul, and make us feel that everything's all right.
