Sun Settting on Cape Cod Chairs

The dark was closing in, and the white Cape Cod rocking chairs shined bright against the gloaming remains of a fast-setting sun. Arranged in a circle around a warming stove, it was a welcoming scene. A place to look over the harbor below, breath in the cool air and take in the warmth against autumn’s cooling night. When I see all the strife and chaos of the global events today, I see a scene like this one as the ideal for how all the world should be.
This oil painting measures 8x10.
