A second version of the original, Long Boats at Dock II is more detailed and dynamic. The beauty of these dories is their unique coloration and the detail of their construction, and that's what I wanted to capture. But underlying each painting in this series of dory paintings is design: color, angles, lines, curves, shapes, negative space... all contribute to pronounce the beauty and structure of these paintings' design element.
