Parked at the Dock

Parked at the Dock (20x30) completes a series of three paintings depicting the same scene from different angles. The attractions of this setting are the dory, reflections, colors, the composition, and the design. The uncomplicated design is what caught my attention from the start. It’s powerful in its simplicity of shapes and primary colors. The reflections of sky opens the painting to a higher plane. And of course, the red and yellow dory holds me captive; I just can’t seem to break from its beauty and shape. I should move on… maybe I will.
