Crowded Cafe

This scene of a Parisian cafe resonated with me because of its lack of color. It's a warm April day, and the stark light pressing itself on everything has warmed the air enough that everyone has shed their coat.  The crowd creates a composition that travels from foreground to a distant background. The awning of the cafe has been rolled up to let in the warmth. Spring has lifted spirits. People are interacting. I can almost hear the chatter.
