The Entrance
The Entrance portrays of a metropolitan residence during a late summer afternoon, golden warm sunlight spotlights the hardwood doors, and patches of delicate silhouettes mottle brick, concrete, and wrought iron fencing. Lighting, and the way it expresses itself in varies ways, is the theme of this painting. The perspective created by the wrought iron fencing and walkway adds thrust to the central focus of the painting (the doors), as if they were the light at the end of the tunnel. This painting offers viewer interest due to its complexity. The more you explore it, the more you see. Even for me; and I painted it.
